Judy Byorick
KYCA President & Sophomore Head Coach
My name is Judy, and this is my 6th year coaching with the Kingsway Youth organization. Cheer has been a huge part of my life since a young age, and I am beyond thrilled to be given the chance to foster the same love of cheer in our community's youth. I started off cheering for a rec team much like the Kingsway Dragons, moved on to all-star competition cheer for a few years, I was captain of my high school cheer squad, and even went on to cheer in college.
You will often hear me say cheer is in my blood and I truly believe that. My passion and love of the sport shows through my high energy and spirited coaching and I hope my cheerleaders are able to have fun while learning cheerleading basics. I am also thrilled to watch my youngest daughter follow in my footsteps cheering for the dragons as well as a local competition squad!
Last year I was given the opportunity to step up as president of the Kingsway Youth Cheerleading Association and looked at it as an opportunity to build the organization toward bigger and better things. I'm excited to bring on new cheerleaders every year and show them the excitement sideline cheer has to offer! I can't wait for another amazing season, now coaching the Sophomore squad this year!
Amanda Shampine
KYCA Vice President & Sophomore Coach
Hi, I'm Amanda Shampine. This will be my fourth year coaching cheerleading, and I couldn't be more excited to coach the Sophomore squad this year. I've been passionate about cheering since I was six years old, and it's been a huge part of my life ever since.
This year is extra special for me because both of my daughters are cheering too. It's wonderful to share this love for cheerleading with them and watch them grow and develop in the sport.
Aside from coaching and cheering, I have a little farm life at home with 11 chickens. While I adore my hens, I have a strong dislike for roosters… #IYKYK
One of my favorite things to do is make people laugh. I believe that a good sense of humor can brighten anyone's day, and I love bringing joy and smiles to those around me. I am so excited for an amazing year ahead! Let’s go DRAGONS!
Francesca Butterick
KYCA Board & Pee Wee Head Coach
Hey all!!! My name is Francesca aka “Coach Chess”! Although this is only my second season coaching, I come with tons of cheer experience, smiles and laughs!
Cheerleading has always been a passion in my life as I cheered in my North Jersey hometown (West Caldwell - The Chiefs), from elementary school all the way through high school, for numerous sports. In the early part of high-school, I was JV Captain for multiple seasons. I also previously participated in my churches CYO cheerleading and some minor competitions as well.
I am 38 years old, married, have two children and reside in Mickleton. I have a daughter, also named Francesca (6) on the Freshman squad this year, and a son, Anthony “AJ” (almost 4).
When I’m not on the field, or at home with my family, you can usually find me planning crazy parties and creating balloon arches for my side business, FFDesigns (Francesca’s Fantasy Designs).
I am looking forward to another spectacular season coaching the Pee Wees and getting to know all the new girls that have joined our squad as well as seeing all the returning little faces too!!
GO DRAGONS!!!!
Stephanie Goodman
Pee Wee Coach
Hello, my name is Stephanie, this is my 2nd season coaching the peewee squad. I’m from East Greenwich which is also the same town I grew up in. I have a husband and two kids, my oldest is a cheerleader on the Freshman Squad. Growing up I cheered for the same organization in the 90’s and I love getting to share that experience with my daughter and all the other girls entering Kingsway Cheer. If I’m not on the field you can usually find me planning or going on Disney trips with my family. I also volunteer on EG Home & School board and participate in as much as I can for my kids during the school year or their extracurriculars.
Erin Coulter
Pee Wee Coach
My name is Erin, and I am excited to be joining the Pee Wee Squad this year. This is my first year as a coach and I am so grateful I get to join coaches Francesca and Stephanie who are so graciously and patiently showing me the ropes. While I have never coached before, I cheered for all of my adolescent and teenage life on recreational and high school teams, and although that seems like a lifetime ago, those skills are certainly engrained in me! I am also no stranger to working with little ones. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I have had plenty of experience working with all ages and ability levels. In addition to that, I am also a certified children's yoga instructor! Safe to say, I enjoy working with children and helping them learn and grow. I cannot wait to watch my daughter begin her cheer journey and develop bonds and skills along the way with all of your girls! I am looking forward to a wonderful season. Let's Go Dragons!
